Tag You're It!!

So I've been tagged...thank you Ashley!:)

A. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B. Each player lists 6 little-known facts/habits about themselves.
C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

Here are six things you may not know about me!!!:)

#1. I am jealous of people with amazing voices. If I could pick a talent, it would be singing. I really like to sing! I don’t think I have a terrible voice…but I am not so sure I have a great one either. So I prefer to sing to the radio or CD’s while I am alone in my car. Oh yeah…I also sing to Noah all the time at bedtime and he actually seems to like it!

#2. I have a bit of a compulsion when it comes to shaving my legs. I shave them every day no matter how cold it is outside. Occasionally I miss a day but I never go past two days without shaving. So I don’t like prickly legs, there has to be way worse things to be compulsive about right!:)

#3. I actually like to eat healthy! No really…I love vegetables, fish, grilled chicken, fruit, etc. I do have a weakness for desserts, but I truly don’t ever crave stuff like hamburgers, fries, fried food etc. My weaknesses are sugar cookies with frosting and ice cream! Yummy!

#4. I am a total sucker for chick flicks/romantic movies! Two of my favorites: Pride and Prejudice and The Notebook.

#5. When I was two years old, I knocked out my two front teeth while riding my tricycle down the drive way. My permanent front teeth didn’t come in for way too long which resulted in a very funny speech impediment (well funny now). One of the letters I really struggled with was R’s. Which was really unfortunate for me because there were 4 R’s in my name (Carrie Ringer)!!! SO SAD! There are people who knew me back in the day that still call me Cawie Wingew…just to make fun! Ha Ha!

#6. I love to take baths. I could sit in the bathtub every night before bed…this doesn’t happen but it would be cool if it did!

One Sick Monkey!!

So Noah was sick with a yucky cold he brought home from Utah this Halloween! If you look close you can actually see the snot running out of his nose in the close up pic..nice huh!:) So we put on his monkey costume (he makes an amazing monkey noise), took him to a few friends houses in the neighborhood to trick or treat and then he was ready for bed! As you can see in the picture above...he finished the evening out watching Finding Nemo in his pj's. Poor thing! He is well on his way to recovery now and we are hoping for a bit more excitement for Halloween next year. And of course..I now have the yucky cold as well..thanks Noah!

Our Weekend In Utah

This weekend we threw an 80th birthday party for my Grandma Kathy in Logan, Utah. Friday afternoon Noah and I flew from Vegas to Salt Lake City to meet up with everyone. Which turned out to be a really good idea since he could barely sit still for a one hour plane ride...the nine hour drive to Logan is pretty much out of the question! Anyways Grandma's party was really fun and it was great to see family that I haven't seen in years. It is so pretty in Utah right now...I love the fall there, it is gorgeous. It was really fun for Noah to see his cousins (my sister Natalie's kids) Isaac and Luke and we were able to meet their new four week old baby boy, Kaleb. Natalie and Matt drove Noah and I around since we didn't have a car..which means that there were four carseats in their suburban. Ridiculous! We talked about how amazing our mom is for having seven children. I don't know how she did it! Here are a few pics from our trip!

Sneaking Cashews and The Life-Sized Witch

Just a few random pics of Noah from this weekend.
He really loves cashews, which worries me because I am not so sure I have sufficient Hiemlech Maneuver skills. Anyhow he managed to slip away from my view on Saturday morning, found his way to the pantry and located the jar of cashews. This is how I found him, on the pantry floor, going to town on the cashews.
Also as most of you know, my mother's home is always decorated according to the holiday...she recently put out this little witch and Noah has developed a wierd fascination with her. At first he would stand in front of her and stare for a long time. This weekend I found him talking gibberish to her on more than one occasion! I am not sure but I think it is because she is just about his size. Pretty funny!

Noah's Uh Oh Face!

So I had to post this picture because I was very excited to catch Noah's "uh oh" face on camera. He makes it anytime something bad happens...like when he spills half of his tropical smoothie in his lap while driving in the car:) Opps!

Run Forest Run!

In high school my dad used to call me Forest (Forest Gump) because I ran so much. I loved it! Back in the day I could run a half marathon without hardly breaking a sweat! Well unfortunately this is no longer the case. However I have been running a few miles a day for a while now, and I am pretty proud of myself for getting back into it. Saturday morning my brother Nate, his wife Sarah and I ran a 5k (3 miles) for charity. I was a little scared that I was going to be really slow...but I actually wasn't that slow and had a really good time! I think I will look for more races to run and I have decided I really want to train for a mini-triathlon. I guess I better start biking and swimming huh!:) Anywho..I love hanging out with Nate and Sarah. They always find fun things to do and always think to call me to come along! I love you guys!!-Carrie

An Update On Us

So... Noah is fifteen months old now and he is getting such a cute little personality. He has a lot of energy and is a total social butterfly. He is 100% boy and wants to be outside playing in the dirt, kicking and throwing balls etc. all of the time. I swear he would live outside if I allowed it. He has spent the last few months screaming loudly to tell me when he wants something. I have been working diligently with him for over a month now to say "please" when he wants something, in an effort to replace his high pitch screams. I am very pleased to announce that just last week we had a break through! While playing in the kitchen he located his favorite bottle of medicine..(purple tylenol... he thinks it's candy) and said, "ma peez." For a minute I contemplated giving him some because he asked so nicely and because it was so friggin cute! Anyways... he is a doll. Below are a few pictures of our recent adventures!
I got him a seat for the back of my bike. We go for rides all of the time and he loves it...doesn't love the helmet so much..and has fallen asleep once on a ride (as you can see) but loves the bike. Also a few pics from my parents cabin in Brianhead over Labor Day weekend...his cousins and uncles taught him how to use swords..he learned to say "ouch" as he was hitting someone with it (nice I know)... and we took him on 4- wheeler and go cart rides, which he loved. We both had a really good time and love going to the cabin.

I did it!

So here it is... and it is about time! I've had really great intentions of creating a blog for a long time now, so I am pretty proud of myself for finally getting it done! I love peeping into everyone's blogs (lives) and seeing all the cute pictures and funny stories about all my friends a family! I hope you enjoy mine as much as I enjoy all of yours. --Carrie
