So for those of you who haven't heard...I am engaged! Adam (we got engaged on Saturday) has been a really BIG part of Noah's and obviously, my life, since last summer when we met. It has been weird to keep this blog going without including him! But since we are now official, I am really excited to include him! We are getting married in May, so a new blog address will be coming soon.
Noah adores Adam and he is excited for all of us to live in a house together. The other day he said to me, "Mom, you, me and Adam are getting married, and moving into a house. I am going to have my own room, you are going to have your own room and Adam is going to have his own room!" Hmmm not quite, but we will break that news to him when we move I think.
I am so excited to marry Adam. I feel like him entering my and Noah's life has been truly a godsend. We are so happy and I feel truly blessed.

Cabin
We spent the long weekend at the cabin and of course had an awesome time. I went cross country skiing for the first time and it was so much fun. Noah went sledding and learned to throw snowballs off a bridge at the skiers (thanks blake and jordan):). The weather was fabulous and we can't wait to go again. My sister Michele took this picture of Noah with my new camera that I got for Christmas! I love it! Isn't my boy so handsome!!!

Christmas
Christmas was so much fun with Noah this year. He was so excited about Santa coming, loved Christmas lights on the houses (or Frismas lights as he would say) the whole tree decorating thing, we made a gingerbread house, played secret santa to a neighbor etc. It was fun for me because he really got it this year...can't wait for next year. I will disclose that I totally overdid it with playing Santa though. Noah was so excited about the matchbox cars and chocolate treats in his stocking that he didn't even realize there were more presents. I managed to convince him to open a few more gifts but quite a few of them are still wrapped and hidden in a closet! Live and learn. Hey looks like I won't have to go shopping for his birthday in June! Nice.
This is Noah and his cousins opening his favorite Christmas gift...a light saber sword. He loves Star Wars and as this picture is being taken he is saying, "Whoa dude...awesome!" His enthusiasm is the best. The other day he came to me with his sword and a very serious expression on his face and said, "Mom I Noah...Noah Skywalker."

Making Problems
Noah says the funniest things to me lately. Yesterday morning I was on my way out the door for work and lost him for a minute. I found him in his grandma's office, with the door shut, messing with the fun things on her desk. When I entered the room he said, "no mom go away." Obviously he didn't want me to see what he was doing. So I said, "Noah you know that you are not supposed to be playing on grandma's desk...what are you doing?" His response, "Um just making problems for you mommy." He hit the nail on the head. I laughed out loud! Clever little guy. :)

My Little Man
Thanksgiving always brings out the gratefulness in me. So I thought I would just mention one of the many reasons that I am so thankful for Noah. Noah has been waking up especially early in the mornings for the past few weeks. I have tried a later bedtime but it seems even if he goes to bed late, he wakes up close to the same time every morning. So I have decided to get over it and come to terms with the fact that my child doesn't require much sleep. Every morning he greets me at my bed with all three of his blakets, his flashlight and one of his guns (yes he sleeps with all of those) and says "hi mommy im awake." Since it is still dark outside, I usually tell him it is still night time and he needs to go back to sleep. So he climbs in bed with me and snuggles for a bit. This morning I decided even though it is early, I love this time with him. For one it is about the only time during the day that he holds still long enough to cuddle and the second reason is that he is super sweet that early in the morning. This morning I woke up to him giving me butterfly (eye) and eskimo (nose) kisses. Love it! He is truly the best gift I have ever been given. I love being his mom, even on days when he acts like a wild animal, I love him more than words can express. I am so glad that I am his mom and he is my little man.
