Adam (we got engaged on Saturday) has been a really BIG part of Noah's and obviously, my life, since last summer when we met. It has been weird to keep this blog going without including him! But since we are now official, I am really excited to include him! We are getting married in May, so a new blog address will be coming soon.
Noah adores Adam and he is excited for all of us to live in a house together. The other day he said to me, "Mom, you, me and Adam are getting married, and moving into a house. I am going to have my own room, you are going to have your own room and Adam is going to have his own room!" Hmmm not quite, but we will break that news to him when we move I think.
I am so excited to marry Adam. I feel like him entering my and Noah's life has been truly a godsend. We are so happy and I feel truly blessed.
<img style="display:block; I went cross country skiing for the first time and it was so much fun. Noah went sledding and learned to throw snowballs off a bridge at the skiers (thanks blake and jordan):). The weather was fabulous and we can't wait to go again. My sister Michele took this picture of Noah with my new camera that I got for Christmas! I love it! Isn't my boy so handsome!!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/SXgduNWNSFI/AAAAAAAAAcE/rxsRPxGptjc/s400/Noah+and+Me+2007+348.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5294014041668012114" />

Christmas

Christmas was so much fun with Noah this year. He was so excited about Santa coming, loved Christmas lights on the houses (or Frismas lights as he would say) the whole tree decorating thing, we made a gingerbread house, played secret santa to a neighbor etc. It was fun for me because he really got it this year...can't wait for next year. I will disclose that I totally overdid it with playing Santa though. Noah was so excited about the matchbox cars and chocolate treats in his stocking that he didn't even realize there were more presents. I managed to convince him to open a few more gifts but quite a few of them are still wrapped and hidden in a closet! Live and learn. Hey looks like I won't have to go shopping for his birthday in June! Nice.

This is Noah and his cousins opening his favorite Christmas gift...a light saber sword. He loves Star Wars and as this picture is being taken he is saying, "Whoa dude...awesome!" His enthusiasm is the best. The other day he came to me with his sword and a very serious expression on his face and said, "Mom I Noah...Noah Skywalker."
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/SXgbE1TwSDI/AAAAAAAAAbs/5S3yO01f8nU/s400/Family+2008+-+420.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5294011131817379890" />

Making Problems

Noah says the funniest things to me lately. Yesterday morning I was on my way out the door for work and lost him for a minute. I found him in his grandma's office, with the door shut, messing with the fun things on her desk. When I entered the room he said, "no mom go away." Obviously he didn't want me to see what he was doing. So I said, "Noah you know that you are not supposed to be playing on grandma's desk...what are you doing?" His response, "Um just making problems for you mommy." He hit the nail on the head. I laughed out loud! So I thought I would just mention one of the many reasons that I am so thankful for Noah. Noah has been waking up especially early in the mornings for the past few weeks. I have tried a later bedtime but it seems even if he goes to bed late, he wakes up close to the same time every morning. So I have decided to get over it and come to terms with the fact that my child doesn't require much sleep. Every morning he greets me at my bed with all three of his blakets, his flashlight and one of his guns (yes he sleeps with all of those) and says "hi mommy im awake." Since it is still dark outside, I usually tell him it is still night time and he needs to go back to sleep. So he climbs in bed with me and snuggles for a bit. This morning I decided even though it is early, I love this time with him. For one it is about the only time during the day that he holds still long enough to cuddle and the second reason is that he is super sweet that early in the morning. This morning I woke up to him giving me butterfly (eye) and eskimo (nose) kisses. Love it! He is truly the best gift I have ever been given. I love being his mom, even on days when he acts like a wild animal, I love him more than words can express. I am so glad that I am his mom and he is my little man.

Thanksgiving at the Cabin

We had such a fun Thanksgiving at the cabin with the whole family! Natalie and Matt announced that they are pregnant with their fourth and are due in June...about a week after Sarah and Nate have their first baby. We are excited for both of them!!

How do you get three little boys to hold still for a picture? Put grandpa's shotgun in their hands! From the left...Noah and his cousins, Isaac and Luke. Noah had so much fun with his cousins. He woke up every morning and asked me..."where are my buddies, Isaac and Luke." So cute. We wish they lived in Las Vegas!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 266px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/STYYYKab0qI/AAAAAAAAAao/PO72ds0JI0k/s400/cabin+5.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5275430816902271650" />
The whole Ringer clan! Noah is a bit obsessed with guns, swords or weapons of any kind really..but mostly guns. He has a little nerf gun that he loves to run around the house with and shoot innocent bystanders. He has trouble cocking the gun, so he runs up to me every few minutes and says, "cock it mom." Lovely huh. So the other day Noah was eating a banana that I had peeled about half way for him. When he ate it down to the peel and needed help peeling it the rest of the way, he handed it to me and said, "cock it mom." Hahahaha! I also caught him moaning in his sleep today at nap time saying, "cock it, cock it." Hmmm I'm thinking the gun situation is a little out of control.

Happy Halloween

So a few weeks ago Noah's grandma Mel bought him a really cute pug dog costume for Halloween. I tried to get him to try it on then, but he refused. I talked to him about Halloween and told him that you have to wear a costume to get candy. We even read Halloween books to help him get the idea. In the coming weeks we continued talking about the costume and I continued to try persuading him by telling him how "awesome" his dog costume was. Noah was not convinced and replied, "No it's not awesome mommy! I am mad at Halloween!" Thus began the stuggle with the dog costume. Needless to say, life is busy and I pushed the costume incident out of my mind and actually kept thinking that on Halloween Day with everyone in their costumes, Noah would be excited and put his dog costume on. Well no such luck. Noah ended up being an army guy, which to him was a way cooler idea than a puppy. Duh mom! I actually don't blame him for this. So here he is in his thrown together costume (two hours before we went trick or treating). He has my black eyeshadow on his face (improvising). He had some sweet boots for this costume, but boots were out of the question also. Such a two year old!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/SQx7hU84UtI/AAAAAAAAAaI/BxXvTsBaPfY/s400/Noah+and+Me+2007+255.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5263717876979225298" />
The day after Halloween and Noah is still enjoying wearing his army hat!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/SQz0-mh_HiI/AAAAAAAAAaQ/2AQgaVnLqdY/s400/Noah+and+Me+2007+258.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5263851420821429794" />

Trip to Cali

My mom, sisters and sister in-law and I, took a girls trip to California last weekend. We decided on the way there that the priorities of the trip were as follows: 1.Shop 2.Pee 3.Eat 4.Sleep
I would say that we definately, on a few occasions, did forgo eating and sleeping to shop, and the bathroom breaks were limited to emergencies only.:) We had so much fun just being together! We also went to the musical in L.A., Wicked! It was soooo amazing, I loved it. Here are a few pics from our trip!!
Wicked in L.A.!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/SLVajb9s_mI/AAAAAAAAASg/QFVsyU7oBm8/s400/ST2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5239193306363919970" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/SLVa3MjGhDI/AAAAAAAAASo/DoELSHXC4kY/s400/Noah+and+Me+2007+226.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5239193645823198258" />
At the Orange County Swap Meet
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/SLVZ3ECOqmI/AAAAAAAAASY/Ut9soSVHkTk/s400/Noah+and+Me+2007+227.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5239192544026208866" />
Michele and I thought this pink dog was not so cute. Noah had about as much fun as a child could have I think. His favorite phrase on the trip was, "Come on mommy, it'll be fun!(with enthusiasum)" It was lots of fun for both of us. Here are a few pics from our week.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/SKcckEkVlkI/AAAAAAAAARI/lujXTCDdNaA/s400/LP18.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5235184497868510786" />
Love the goggles!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/SKccx1wjz2I/AAAAAAAAARQ/Xh8HEur_0JE/s400/Noah+and+Me+2007+237.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5235184734411411298" />
Noah calls the wakeboard a skateboard and was fully confident in his ability to ride it. On Tuesday my little sister Michele graduated from Spring Valley High School! Since there is quite the age gap between us (10 years), I did alot of mothering her when she was younger and up until the time I left home. Seeing her graduate from high school made me feel pretty old! Since Noah and I have been back in my parents home for the past year and a half, it has been so fun because it seems like the age diffence between Michele and I didn't matter much anymore. I am going to train a little harder and see if I can't improve my time. We started out swimming 600 meters in wet suits at Lake Las Vegas. Swimming is not my strength, but it was over quickly. Then we biked 12.6 miles and finished running 3.1 miles. I've always loved running but I have developed a new love for biking. I just rode an old mountain bike we had lying around for the race, but I have my eye on an inexpensive road bike and am considering getting it! Triathlon's are addicting. Crossing the finish line was such a good feeling. I'll tell you how the next one goes!!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/SCpj7tvWgqI/AAAAAAAAAOQ/Opj_jF4MqAs/s400/20080411_2119.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5200078597294293666" />
The day before the race...at registration!!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/SCpkRtvWgrI/AAAAAAAAAOY/2233iDx_qEE/s400/20080411_2120.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5200078975251415730" />
Me and my sister Natalie setting up our bikes the day before the race. My brother Nate is lugging around Natalie's baby, he was such a trooper. He gets the best husband/brother award for running around the course on race day taking tons of pictures (he got a picture of each of us at every stage of the race), helping us get set up for the race, fixing our bikes, packing around all of our stuff while we raced, studying for school in the waiting room while we got massages after the race and I could go on. We had such a fun Easter. We colored eggs, had an egg hunt in the backyard and Noah loved finding his Easter basket on Sunday morning. Especially when he realized there was candy in it!! His two favorite things in his Easter basket were, the duck that his grandma gave him. It sings the Chicken Dance Song and flaps its wings and Noah thought it was hilarous. He carried it around the house for a few days. And of course his nerf gun. He says, "shoot the mommy," then shoots me and laughs when I play dead. This is the funnest age!

Our Weekend at the Cabin

Noah and I spent the weekend at the cabin in Brian Head with the fam. I took him tubeing which he was extremely excited about at first. As he was pulled up the hill, he clapped and waved at me all stoked. However he soon became terrified, as he was pushed down one of the really steep, really long tubeing hills. The staff at the tubeing hills won't allow you to ride more than one person in a tube, even with little ones. So Noah was all alone in his tube, screaming as it went down the hill. By the time he made it to the bottom he was looking at me like, why would you do that to me, and saying, "mom, help me!" I felt really bad! Anyways he loves the snow and will play in it for hours regardless of how cold it is. Such a tough guy! I can only hope he forgets the traumatic tubeing incident as there will surely be many more trips to the cabin this year! We love the cabin and I can hardly wait for him to get big enough to get on a snowboard!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/R99GBr8SqqI/AAAAAAAAAMg/mG7loPM6kKE/s320/Noah+and+Me+2008+03.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5178935091288779426" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/R99F4L8SqpI/AAAAAAAAAMY/_j_hj6vQP-U/s320/Noah+and+Me+2008+02.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5178934928080022162" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/R99Fir8SqoI/AAAAAAAAAMQ/oNoRSA23BKM/s320/Noah+and+Me+2008.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5178934558712834690" />

Blonder!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/R9Yb9r8SqnI/AAAAAAAAAMI/4ozdzkyQLo0/s320/Noah+and+Me+2007+094.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5176355568290540146" />

So it is getting warmer outside and blonder sounded fun! It is called the Iron Girl and it is on April 12th out at Lake Las Vegas. A sprint triathlon is a about half of everything you would do in a normal triathlon. So it is about a 1/2 mile swim, 12 mile bike ride and 3 mile run, in that order. My sister Natalie and Nate's wife Sarah are doing it with me! I am pretty excited about it but a little nervous as well. The swim is in Lake Mead and it is going to be pretty cold so I will be wearing a wet suit. Hopefully I won't freeze to death! My goal with the swim is to not sustain any injuries, I have heard that people can get crazy at the start and I can totally see myself getting kicked in the face within the first two minutes of this thing! So I am going to try and not let that happen. I have been taking spin classes at the gym, which has been really fun actually, to prepare for the biking part and I am borrowing a road bike that I plan to start training on within the next week. And as for the run, I just hope I have enough energy to make it to the finish line! Just after the race is over Nat, Sarah and I have foot massages and pedicures scheduled at the spa! I totally think we deserve it. So I should have lots of pictures coming soon from the Iron Girl. Wish me luck!-Carrie

The Drums, Happy Helper and Phrase of the Week!!

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/R8O9k8Xap5I/AAAAAAAAALw/NGpXEIwuMZc/s320/Noah+and+Me+2007+082.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5171185239528744850" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/R8O9XcXap4I/AAAAAAAAALo/9JQRPL73caU/s320/Noah+and+Me+2007+081.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5171185007600510850" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/R8O9H8Xap3I/AAAAAAAAALg/w1QAMlsyR2M/s320/Noah+and+Me+2007+083.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5171184741312538482" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/R8O82MXap2I/AAAAAAAAALY/-oP3RuWmCT0/s320/Noah+and+Me+2007+001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5171184436369860450" />
THE DRUMS!!!
We went to a friend's house for dinner the other night and they have a drum set. Noah fell in love with the drums and was actually really good at them. It was so funny to watch him go crazy playing them. I am not going to lie, I am not thrilled that this is his instrument of choice. I would prefer something a little less loud. Noah on the other hand thinks the louder the better.

SUCH THE HAPPY HELPER
Noah is such a happy little helper! He loves to be busy, so he likes to help me and his grandma around the house. Some of his favorite chores are vacuuming, sweeping, watering the plants and helping with the dishes (he has his very own stool for this as you can see in the picture above). He ran away from me while I was changing his diaper, got up on his stool and proceeded to help grandma wash the dishes. Thus the bare butt shot!:) He is such a busy child.

PHRASE OF THE WEEK
I stubbed my toe on the door frame and other day and while is was hopping around saying ouch...Noah came over to me, looked at my toe and said, "Oh hunny," in a very sympathetic voice. It was so funny. I love this stage, he is talking so much and copies everything..I have to watch myself!!

Noah's First Haircut!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/R7fKIsXap1I/AAAAAAAAALQ/ng5Ugk06dHY/s320/Noah+and+Me+2007+040.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5167821348128073554" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/R7fEmMXap0I/AAAAAAAAALI/JX1lD0H78no/s320/Noah+and+Me+2007+068.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5167815257864447810" />
Here is the latest family picture of me and Noah...you likely?? I thought it would be so cute if we took a picture on my mom's front porch swing! After several attempts...this was as good as it gets. No really..in the other pictures Noah is not even in them because he is trying to escape! So just disregard the fact that Noah looks like he is possessed. We really need to get a new professional picture of the two of us.:)
So I still haven't changed my hair...don't hate!! I appreciate those who voted and have taken your comments into thoughtful consideration.:) I am making plans, so pics will be coming soon. Noah on the other hand got his first real haircut about a week ago. I figured I could just take him to Great Clips, give him a sucker(bribery), let him sit on my lap and he would do okay. Well I was mistaken. He screamed bloody murder the whole time while sitting on my lap. There was hair all over the both of us and the sucker by the time we were done!! Gross! If you look to your right and down a little, there are two pictures of me and Noah. One when I was blonde (pretend I am not casper, white) and me now as a brunette. To be honest, I am a little bored of my hair right now. This happens all too often, but I am thinking of going blonde...maybe not quite as blonde as the picture, but blonder. I would like some feedback regarding this decision, however I make no promises as I will most likely do what I want to anyways. No really I do want your honest opinions! I apologize for my neglect of the blog! Here is an update on the main events of the last two months:

1. Noah decided that he didn't like his crib anymore. So at bedtime and nap time I started having real problems with him staying in it. When he wanted to get out, he would lift his body, lean his head down and fall out head first. My child has no fear of bodily injury. He is lucky he didn't break his neck on one of these falls. So I bought a crib tent for him and it has been a life saver! Although it doesn't look like it in the picture above, he has gotten over the crib phobia and now loves his tent.

2. Noah was in the bathtub a few weeks ago, when one of the sliding glass doors on the shower shattered and all the glass fell into the tub. Noah escaped with only one major cut on his hand and a bunch of little scratches. His Grandpa Ringer stiched him up on my bedroom floor and although it was a little traumatic at the time, Noah and grandpa are still buddies.

3. Christmas was a lot of fun this year. Noah spent most of Christmas morning eating a candy cane he found on the floor and walking around in his new snow boots(for the cabin). He has a bit of a shoe fettish I'm afraid and boots are the fav. He has now decided that his geo trax train set, books, cars and other gifts are pretty cool as well.

I will keep the posts coming!!!

Tag You're It!!

So I've been tagged...thank you Ashley!:)

A. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B. Each player lists 6 little-known facts/habits about themselves.
C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

Here are six things you may not know about me!!!:)

#1. I am jealous of people with amazing voices. If I could pick a talent, it would be singing. I really like to sing! I don’t think I have a terrible voice…but I am not so sure I have a great one either. So I prefer to sing to the radio or CD’s while I am alone in my car. Oh yeah…I also sing to Noah all the time at bedtime and he actually seems to like it!

#2. I have a bit of a compulsion when it comes to shaving my legs. I shave them every day no matter how cold it is outside. Occasionally I miss a day but I never go past two days without shaving. So I don’t like prickly legs, there has to be way worse things to be compulsive about right!:)

#3. I actually like to eat healthy! No really…I love vegetables, fish, grilled chicken, fruit, etc. I do have a weakness for desserts, but I truly don’t ever crave stuff like hamburgers, fries, fried food etc. My weaknesses are sugar cookies with frosting and ice cream! Yummy!

#4. I am a total sucker for chick flicks/romantic movies! Two of my favorites: Pride and Prejudice and The Notebook.

#5. When I was two years old, I knocked out my two front teeth while riding my tricycle down the drive way. My permanent front teeth didn’t come in for way too long which resulted in a very funny speech impediment (well funny now). One of the letters I really struggled with was R’s. Which was really unfortunate for me because there were 4 R’s in my name (Carrie Ringer)!!! SO SAD! There are people who knew me back in the day that still call me Cawie Wingew…just to make fun! Ha Ha!

#6. I love to take baths. I could sit in the bathtub every night before bed…this doesn’t happen but it would be cool if it did!

The following people are now tagged: Lindsay Burt, Natalie Burt, Natalie Hudson, Jennifer Jorgenson, Jessica Stucki and Anya Earl

One Sick Monkey!!

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/RyzWv7uPiMI/AAAAAAAAAHw/sK7fkQjp8VA/s320/Noah+and+Me+2007+108.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5128710194641995970" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/RyzWj7uPiLI/AAAAAAAAAHo/G5HygfqXIFU/s320/Noah+and+Me+2007+110.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5128709988483565746" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/RyzWVbuPiKI/AAAAAAAAAHg/TcAlR0ULt4A/s320/Noah+and+Me+2007+111.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5128709739375462562" />
So Noah was sick with a yucky cold he brought home from Utah this Halloween! If you look close you can actually see the snot running out of his nose in the close up pic..nice huh!:) So we put on his monkey costume (he makes an amazing monkey noise), took him to a few friends houses in the neighborhood to trick or treat and then he was ready for bed! As you can see in the picture above...he finished the evening out watching Finding Nemo in his pj's. Poor thing! He is well on his way to recovery now and we are hoping for a bit more excitement for Halloween next year. And of course..I now have the yucky cold as well..thanks Noah!

Our Weekend In Utah

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/RyfDmruPiII/AAAAAAAAAHQ/n7xfncV2zig/s320/Noah+and+Me+2007+107.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5127281770123724930" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/RyfDaLuPiHI/AAAAAAAAAHI/S0cE7YKtfhY/s320/Noah+and+Me+2007+103.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5127281555375360114" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/RyfDIbuPiGI/AAAAAAAAAHA/K_iWjKpXmvk/s320/Noah+and+Me+2007+102.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5127281250432682082" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/RyfC2LuPiFI/AAAAAAAAAG4/L34OvXJOKkU/s320/Noah+and+Me+2007+096.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5127280936900069458" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/RyfCibuPiEI/AAAAAAAAAGw/6oYaS8cNwfc/s320/Noah+and+Me+2007+101.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5127280597597653058" />
This weekend we threw an 80th birthday party for my Grandma Kathy in Logan, Utah. Friday afternoon Noah and I flew from Vegas to Salt Lake City to meet up with everyone. Which turned out to be a really good idea since he could barely sit still for a one hour plane ride...the nine hour drive to Logan is pretty much out of the question! Anyways Grandma's party was really fun and it was great to see family that I haven't seen in years. It is so pretty in Utah right now...I love the fall there, it is gorgeous. It was really fun for Noah to see his cousins (my sister Natalie's kids) Isaac and Luke and we were able to meet their new four week old baby boy, Kaleb. Natalie and Matt drove Noah and I around since we didn't have a car..which means that there were four carseats in their suburban. Ridiculous! We talked about how amazing our mom is for having seven children. I don't know how she did it! Here are a few pics from our trip!

Sneaking Cashews and The Life-Sized Witch

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/Rxwk-xKCgaI/AAAAAAAAAGo/YPBZbJSsnkM/s320/Noah+and+Me+2007+091.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5124011136806715810" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/RxwkyRKCgZI/AAAAAAAAAGg/pJ_5cJ4NI3c/s320/Noah+and+Me+2007+092.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5124010922058350994" />
Just a few random pics of Noah from this weekend.
He really loves cashews, which worries me because I am not so sure I have sufficient Hiemlech Maneuver skills. Anyhow he managed to slip away from my view on Saturday morning, found his way to the pantry and located the jar of cashews. This is how I found him, on the pantry floor, going to town on the cashews.
Also as most of you know, my mother's home is always decorated according to the holiday...she recently put out this little witch and Noah has developed a wierd fascination with her. At first he would stand in front of her and stare for a long time. This weekend I found him talking gibberish to her on more than one occasion! I am not sure but I think it is because she is just about his size. Pretty funny!

Noah's Uh Oh Face!

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_U68iQTiz2S0/RxRNAhKCgTI/AAAAAAAAAF0/gNBZs9rrYeg/s320/Noah+and+Me+2007+088.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5121803347522912562" />
So I had to post this picture because I was very excited to catch Noah's "uh oh" face on camera. I loved it! Back in the day I could run a half marathon without hardly breaking a sweat! Well unfortunately this is no longer the case. However I have been running a few miles a day for a while now, and I am pretty proud of myself for getting back into it. Saturday morning my brother Nate, his wife Sarah and I ran a 5k (3 miles) for charity. I was a little scared that I was going to be really slow...but I actually wasn't that slow and had a really good time! I think I will look for more races to run and I have decided I really want to train for a mini-triathlon. I guess I better start biking and swimming huh!:) Anywho..I love hanging out with Nate and Sarah. They always find fun things to do and always think to call me to come along! Noah is fifteen months old now and he is getting such a cute little personality. He has a lot of energy and is a total social butterfly. He is 100% boy and wants to be outside playing in the dirt, kicking and throwing balls etc. all of the time. I swear he would live outside if I allowed it. He has spent the last few months screaming loudly to tell me when he wants something. I have been working diligently with him for over a month now to say "please" when he wants something, in an effort to replace his high pitch screams. I am very pleased to announce that just last week we had a break through! While playing in the kitchen he located his favorite bottle of medicine..(purple tylenol... he thinks it's candy) and said, "ma peez." For a minute I contemplated giving him some because he asked so nicely and because it was so friggin cute! Anyways... he is a doll. Below are a few pictures of our recent adventures!
I got him a seat for the back of my bike. We go for rides all of the time and he loves it...doesn't love the helmet so much..and has fallen asleep once on a ride (as you can see) but loves the bike. Also a few pics from my parents cabin in Brianhead over Labor Day weekend...his cousins and uncles taught him how to use swords..he learned to say "ouch" as he was hitting someone with it (nice I know)... and we took him on 4- wheeler and go cart rides, which he loved. We both had a really good time and love going to the cabin.

I did it!

So here it is... and it is about time! I hope you enjoy mine as much as I enjoy all of yours. --Carrie
